About the Team
Tammy Foote and Lauren Terras are the duo that make up TLC.
A blonde and a brunette, half based in the Eastern Cape the other in the West, two halves that have come together to create a balanced whole.
The two met when they were less than a year old and 30 years later they have reconnected and discovered they share similar passions for decor and design, reinventing the old, Basset Hounds and of course South Africa.
Tammy who recently returned from three years abroad, has had a passion for decor since childhood. Restyling her bedroom repetitively (and there have been 33 to count) and later the homes of friends and then restaurants, her and her husband are currently finalists in the Tuis/Home 'Fix it with Flair Competition'.
Lauren has had a long affair with design and decor. After working for various decor magazines including Tuis/Home, Elle Decoration and The Property Magazine (to name a few) she created her own Styling and Decor PR Company and currently works closely with various magazines and online publications.
Tammy Lauren Collective is a culmination of their previous experiences, skills, passions as well as their dreams, both for themselves and design in their country.
About the Company
TLC is a decor boutique that aims to provide the public with something unique, something that hasn't recently been whisked off a mass production line and something that may have its roots (or at least a previous life) in South Africa. The team source (and revamp where necessary) classic pieces of furniture and decor items.
Along with sourcing exceptional pieces they are also in the process of creating a design range that embodies 'South Africanism' in a subtle yet quirky manner by developing skills and empowering our less fortunate neighbours.
Our 'Pop-Up' Store
Our Pop-Up Store is located on the Foreshore at Space for Life gallery. It is a vibrant space that houses an artfully curated blend of local and Scandinavian vintage furniture and art.
